  1. How lovely to find you again...have missed HWTF and wondered how you were! Went back to the first post on here so saw the protection scheme and reasons for it. Have not managed to read back the entire blog, it is Boxing Day in New Zealand and we have had five earthquakes here in Christchurch overnight, so a little distracted, but hope you have found your voice again and resolved a few of the issues.
Must be a family thing... Had some similar issues with my partners adopted daughters birth mothers daughter challenging my right to be considered a grannie to my partners daughters new baby.... Apparently the comments section of my blog was the best place to attack us. Certainly tells me a lot about their caring natters and IQ levels.
    Welcome back
    And Merry Xmas

  2. Ps... Can you add a follow widget or an rss feed link?
Using many browsers on an iPad and bookmarks aren't traveling across so easily to refind blaghs!

  4. Ms. Pliers, everybody is asleep in the living room except me so I can't listen to the music. The headphones went missing a while back and I can't be bothered to look just now.
Your header photo is fantastic. Absolutely perfect. And I love the matching (sorta) T-shirts - yes, indeed, I would think that you ARE the present. Is that this year's version of your annual photo op?

I think it was warmer here today (+6) than Le Blanc - you're getting some mileage out of that puffy coat, I'm sure. Thinking of you snug as two bugs in a rug. Btw, went to a film today - 'Tangled' - our Christmas day ouring with daughter and MFB. Not as good as Shrek but the horse was terrific. Worth seeing just for that.

  5. Okay I'm going to say it again, I love that picture! The t-shirts are so much fun. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and thank you for the warm wishes! Take care, enjoy the snow for me, and stay warm!

  6. Fi,

I too am happy to find you at this "whole lotta shakin' goin' on" in NZ holiday time! I hope that things have calmed down a bit now and that the seismic shifts leave you all in peace.

Grandbabies need all the help they can get, so you'd think that it would be a very definite case of "the more, the merrier" when new babies are jettisoned in. Enjoy your own new family member to your heart's content and, well, fuck the natters if they can't wrap their minds around that simple concept. I can hear Rodney Dennis' famous quote reverberating down the years--"Can't we all just get along?" Let's hope so, long-term!

I don't have one of the followers widgets because it made me feel anxiety-ridden. I'll revisit the possibility of remounting it. But nobody should hold his or her breath waiting for it. I thought there was an RSS feed for this blahg. At least when I Google myself, I see it. Whatever...

It's a new year coming up. May it be a very happy and healthy one, first and foremost. After that, a touch of prosperity and goodwill would be nice and I wish it for you sincerely!

  7. Stickup Artist,

So, what did Sgt Santa bring you? A film-changing bag? Oh, that's right, no more film? New serious photographer's traipsing through forests boots?

I am so happy that our little still photo could spread a bit of mirth and good cheer among an already hilarious bunch such as yours! That is high praise coming from your corner of Cyberspace. Can't wait to hear all about the merrymaking at G-Central.

    Hasta pronto!

  8. Deborah,

That woulda been a shock to be awakened from a sound Christmas sleep to strains of "Dear Santa, bring me boy!" Your family thanks you for not having subjected them to such an experience.

I like the image of all your loved ones conked out around the living room in the midst of waiting for Santa to arrive. So sweet...

It's -4 outside but without snow. My coat is moldering on a hook because, contrary to all you healthful, hearty outdoorsy folks in the north, I'm NOT going anywhere near the outdoors! Ha! Ha! Ha! I would make a great bear. 6 months of hibernation. Perfect idea! As long as I can take my MacBook with me into the cave.

Movies at Christmastime are always fun. We too went to the cinema, but in our livingroom. We mounted a film festival of "Ocean's 11, 12, & 13" It was fun to watch them in sequence just to see all the landscapes of the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, especially Las Vegas where we laid down a lot of dusty trails of our own.

Merry Christmas to you and the gang!
